Our research group seeks to develop new synthetic methods and elaborate architectural concepts to enhance our understanding of the fundamental principles that govern the rational design and synthesis of complex molecular, macromolecular, and supramolecular nonbiological systems that exhibit biological functions. We work at the boundaries of organic, bioorganic, supramolecular, macromolecular, and polymer chemistry, catalysis, liquid crystals, nanoscience and biology to discover functional systems derived from programmed primary structures.
