BFS and Penn's International Internship Program: Dinner, Presentations, and How To Apply

Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 5:00pm - 6:30pm
LOCATION: The NEW Fireside Lounge, The Arch, 3601 Locust Walk, 2nd Floor

Penn’s International Internship Program (IIP) provides opportunities for outstanding undergraduate and graduate students to intern abroad for eight to twelve weeks over the summer. Benjamin Franklin Scholars are especially encouraged to apply: up to 7 spots are reserved for BFS.

  • IIP partners with for-profit, non-profit and non-governmental organizations around the world.
  • Each intern will receive an award to offset their internship-related expenses, funded by the University of Pennsylvania.
  • These global opportunities allow students to apply the academic knowledge they have obtained, while enriching their overall Penn experience with diverse cultural and international exposure and valuable work experience.
This dinner on Wednesday, January 22 will be a celebration of the work Benjamin Franklin Scholars did with IIP last summer, with presentations from BFS students (similar to our research dinner last fall). It will also be a great chance to learn about the sort of work you can apply to do this coming year. The International Internship Manager will be present to answer any questions.

Please RSVP here if you plan to attend so we can be sure to order enough food!

This dinner will also be a perfect opportunity to come check out the newly renovated Arch Building!Upperclassmen will remember the Arch Building as the old home of BFS; we are delighted to be returning to 36th and Locust Walk.
