Neurosurgery Summer Internship
The Neurosurgery department at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City is hosting a summer internship program for Ben Franklin Scholars interested in medicine or neuroscience. The program will fund two or three highly motivated students who will have the opportunity to shadow top neurosurgeons, gain exposure to the Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit, and participate in physician office hours and rounds. Additionally, each intern will develop, present, and be evaluated on a spine surgery clinical research project with the potential for publication. Interns will be expected to dedicate approximately 35 hours per week. The estimated duration will be June 9 – August 15. Internships include a $3,000 student stipend.
